Στις 27 Ιανουαρίου - την επέτειο της απελευθέρωσης των κρατουμένων του γερμανικού στρατοπέδου Auschwitz-Birkenau- ο κόσμος τιμά τη Διεθνή Ημέρα Μνήμης του Ολοκαυτώματος. Η Ημέρα Μνήμης καθιερώθηκε με το ψήφισμα της Γενικής Συνέλευσης του ΟΗΕ το 2005 για τη διατήρηση της μνήμης των Εβραίων που δολοφονήθηκαν κατά τον Β' Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο.
Η μνήμη είναι αυτό που οφείλουμε στα θύματα.
Για τη διατήρηση της μνήμης 6 εκατομμυρίων Εβραίων που δολοφονήθηκαν από τους Γερμανούς κατά τη διάρκεια του Β' Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, η Πρεσβεία της Δημοκρατίας της Πολωνίας στη Λευκωσία μαζί με τον όμιλο ΑΝΤ1 προτείνει την παρακολούθηση ενός σύντομου ντοκιμαντέρ για την ιστορία του πρώην γερμανικού ναζιστικού στρατοπέδου συγκέντρωσης και εξόντωσης Auschwitz-Birkenau που ετοιμάστηκε από το Μουσείο του Άουσβιτς.

On January 27 - the anniversary of the release of prisoners of the German Auschwitz-Birkenau camp – the world commemorates the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The memorial day was established by the resolution of the UN General Assembly in 2005 to preserve the memory of Jews murdered during World War II.
The memory is what we owe to the victims.
To preserve the memory of 6 million Jews murdered by the Germans during World War II, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia together with the ANT1 group recommends a short documentary on the history of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz - Birkenau prepared by the Auschwitz Museum.
